Why Now Yoga?
Yoga, Mindfulness & Personal Transformation for Modern Life
“Atha yoga anushasanam”
“Now, the teachings of Yoga.”
— Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (Sutra 1.1)
This is the opening line of the Yoga Sutras.
“Now Yoga” is not just a phrase - it is a doorway.
It points to something simple and profound:
the only moment yoga can truly happen is now.
Why “Now Yoga”?
In the tradition of yoga philosophy, “Atha” means now.
My interpretation is simple:
There was a time when you were searching outside yourself - through experiences, achievements, relationships, or distractions. And maybe you’ve reached a point where that external searching no longer fully satisfies what you’re looking for.
That is where Now Yoga begins.
Now Yoga is the moment you stop running outward and begin turning inward.
Not because life outside is wrong - but because something deeper is ready to be understood within you.
My Journey into Yoga & Transformation
When I first discovered yoga, I didn’t expect it to stay.
But it did.
It brought:
* A deep sense of inner peace
* Improved posture and physical alignment
* Increased sattvic energy (clarity, calmness, vitality)
* A quieter, more aware mind
As the body opened, the mind followed.
As the mind settled, something deeper emerged.
A clearer sense of who I am beyond my thoughts began to appear.
What Now Yoga Means in Modern Life
Now Yoga is a bridge between:
* Ancient yoga wisdom
* Modern mindfulness and self-awareness
* Personal transformation coaching
* Practical life direction in today’s world
It is yoga for real people living real lives - work, relationships, pressure, ambition, uncertainty, and growth.
From Yoga to Life Coaching
Years later, I discovered life coaching and transformational coaching.
Something clicked.
Yoga gave me inner peace and awareness.
Coaching gave me structure, direction, and practical tools for life in the modern world.
One helped me be.
The other helped me live.
Now Yoga is the integration of both:
* Inner stillness + outer action
* Spiritual awareness + practical life design
* Self-realisation + grounded daily living
Now Yoga in 2026: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Tools
We are living in a new time.
Technology - including AI - can either distract us or deepen us.
Used consciously, it can support:
* Self-inquiry and reflection
* Personal growth and clarity
* Research into yoga, consciousness, and universal principles
* Creation of structured transformation programs
I have used these tools to explore questions such as:
* What reduces unnecessary human suffering?
* What increases clarity, presence, and alignment?
* What helps people live with purpose and awareness?
* What are the key principles agreed on by all religions, bona fide spiritual traditions and modern leaders in the areas of human wellbeing, prosperity and good living
The result is a deep, practical approach to yoga and lifestyle for modern life.
