A journey guided by yoga as union
Yoga, in its true sense, means union.
Not just physical practice, but a way of seeing life - where separation begins to dissolve and experience becomes more conscious, more present, more whole.
That understanding has been the thread running through my journey - from early exploration of personal development, through years of coaching, to where everything has now come together as Now Yoga.
India: Rishikesh and Varanasi
A significant turning point came through time spent in Rishikesh and Varanasi, India.
These places didn’t teach me something new in a conceptual way - they deepened what was already being explored: awareness, presence, and the nature of mind.
In Rishikesh, there was space for stillness and reflection.
In Varanasi, a more direct confrontation with impermanence and reality itself.
Together, they deepened the understanding that so much of human stress comes from identification with thought rather than awareness of it.
This wasn’t a belief - it was something observed directly.
And from that point, something shifted: a deeper commitment to sharing what had been seen and experienced.
Sharing the work: happiness, coaching, and wellbeing
Following this period, I began delivering workshops for Action for Happiness, sharing practical tools for wellbeing, mindset, and emotional resilience.
Alongside this, I became a certified Happiness Coach with Happiitude, building on my earlier Transformation Coaching (2016) and Sivananda Yoga Teacher (2001) qualifications.
The focus was always the same beneath the surface:
How do we reduce suffering created by the mind?
How do we return to clarity, awareness, and balance in everyday life?
Over time, this became less about techniques and more about understanding experience itself.
Writing, reflection, and the idea of Now Happiness
After returning to London, I began writing a book called Now Happiness.
Although the manuscript was later lost, the process itself became part of the teaching.
It clarified something important:
You cannot always control outcomes - but you can understand the mind that reacts to them.
That period led to the creation of Happier London, focused on bringing wellbeing into everyday urban life, followed by Lifestyle Redesign, which explored how external life naturally shifts when internal awareness changes.
Each stage was part of the same unfolding.
Bringing it all together: Now Yoga
Now Yoga is the integration of everything that came before it.
Not as a new idea - but as a continuation of the same thread:
* Yoga as union and awareness
* Personal development and transformation coaching
* Happiness and wellbeing practices
* Lifestyle redesign and lived experience
It is not a system that tries to fix life from the outside.
It is a reminder that when awareness changes, experience changes.
What this work really points to
Most people try to change their lives by adjusting external circumstances.
But over time, it becomes clear:
The most important shift is internal.
When awareness deepens:
* Thought is seen more clearly
* Reaction becomes less automatic
* Stress begins to lose its intensity
* Life feels less fragmented and more whole
Nothing outside necessarily changes first - yet everything is experienced differently.
This is where transformation actually begins.
Why Now Yoga exists
Now Yoga exists to support this understanding in a simple, practical way.
Not through complexity.
Not through belief.
But through awareness and direct experience.
It is an invitation to explore:
What happens when you are less identified with thought, and more rooted in awareness?
From that place, clarity becomes more natural.
And life begins to feel more aligned.
The invitation
If you are exploring stress, overthinking, or a desire for more clarity in your life, this work begins exactly where you are.
There is no need to become someone different first.
Just a willingness to look more closely at experience itself.
